For the dough:
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm water
- 2 tbsp oil
For the filling:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp ginger paste
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp garam masala powder
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp oil
- In a mixing bowl, add all-purpose flour, salt, sugar, and active dry yeast. Mix everything well.
- Slowly add warm water to the mixture and knead until you get a smooth and elastic dough. Add oil and knead the dough for a few more minutes.
- Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for about 1 hour or until it doubles in size.
- Meanwhile, in a frying pan, heat oil and add chopped onions, garlic, and ginger paste. Fry until the onions are translucent.
- Add ground beef to the pan and cook until it is no longer pink. Add cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, and salt to taste. Mix everything well and cook for another 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and let it cool.
- Preheat the oven to 400°F.
- Take a small portion of the dough and flatten it on a floured surface. Add a spoonful of the keema mixture to the center of the dough.
- Fold the edges of the dough over the filling to create a ball-shaped bread.
- Place the bread on a greased baking tray and brush the top with melted butter.
